KMT Picks Yobe APC Governorship Nomination Form, Insists On Direct Primary Election

Frontline Yobe State Governorship Aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC),Kashim Musa Tumsah MFR, fondly called KMT, on Tuesday picked his indication of interest and governorship nomination forms at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja.
A statement signed by the Spokesman of the KMT Campaign Organization, Malam Abubakar Ahmed, said the two forms which cost N50 million were jointly purchased for the aspirant by the Yobe First Movement (YFM) and Haskey Forum, two of the strongest political movements in the state.
While handling over the forms to the aspirant, Director-General of Yobe First Movement, Comrade Mohammed Ibrahim, said the gesture was their humble way of saying “Thank You” to the Development Advocate who had touched the lives of Yobe people in many positive ways.
“We cannot count the various ways KMT has touched the lives of individuals and communities in Yobe, ranging from healthcare, education, agriculture, provision of solar powered boreholes, solar powered street lights, business interventions,women and youth empowerment, among others.
“We have dragged you into active politics in our dear state so that you can continue with the good legacies, and this is why we came in our thousands to contribute enough money to buy these forms for you,as we are very sure you will emerge victorious in the coming 2027 governorship election in Yobe State,” Ibrahim said.
Also in her remarks, leader of Haskey Forum, Hajiya Fati Godowoli, said the people of Yobe State are very eager to have Kashim Musa Tumsah KMT as the next governor of the State.
Receiving the forms, KMT who was visibly full of emotions, expressed his gratitude to the people of Yobe State, especially YFM and Haskey Forum for seeing him worthy of leading the state.
‘I never thought people were watching and appreciating my contributions in seeing that Yobe State becomes greater than it is now, until when youth and women groups approached me and insisted that I contest the governorship position in the next general election,citing my community interventions as their reason.
“Yobe belongs to all of us and we must thrive, make sacrifices and come together as a united front to move it forward.
“Since I joined the race, we have seen many challenges but with the resilience of all our supporters and admirers we are able to arrive at the current level, causing fears and jitters amongst the establishment.
“I can assure you that with our good intentions and resilience, we are unstoppable,even though the establishment is spreading rumours that Yobe APC has opted for a consensus candidate in the next election. I want to say that it is not true, otherwise, I wouldn’t have accepted these nomination and indication of interest forms,” the aspirant said.
He said buying the forms for him had further boosted his courage to contest the number one seat of the state and urged his supporters to brace up for the upcoming struggle.
KMT, however, appealed to all his supporters and admirers to always conduct themselves without fear but with decorum, decency and respect for the rule of law.
