KSSSSMB Reinforces Operational Standards For Science Model Classes

The Executive Secretary Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board Hon.Rabi’u Sale Gwarzo, has reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to the effective implementation of operational guidelines in Science Model Classes across the state.

KSSSSMB, said this is part of efforts to improve the quality of science education and students’ academic performance.
The Executive Secretary disclosed this during a meeting with principals of schools hosting Science Model Classes, aimed at reviewing progress and discussing measures to strengthen the implementation of the programme in line with established standards.
He emphasized the need for school principals and teachers to strictly adhere to the operational framework guiding the programme, noting that compliance with the guidelines is essential to achieving the desired educational outcomes.
Gwarzo commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his sustained investment in the education sector and his commitment to policies and programmes aimed at improving teaching and learning.
He noted that the Science Model Class initiative reflects the government’s determination to promote excellence in science education and prepare students for future opportunities.
He also stressed due process in admissions, effective conduct of practical lessons, participation in examinations, proper maintenance of infrastructure and facilities, curriculum-based excursions.
Other areas discused include transparency in fee management, staff discipline, improved student performance, enhanced school security, proper record keeping, and efficient utilization of resources to improve school outcomes
The meeting provided a platform for interactive discussion where participants asked questions and raised key issues, which were promptly addressed by the management with clear explanations and appropriate guidance to enhance understanding and facilitate the smooth implementation of the Kano State government policies.
Present at the meeting were key directors of the Board, including the Director of Schools Management, Alhaji Sani Haladu, and the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Halima Musa Abubakar, who both made contributions during the session.
