Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has flagged off the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the 41-kilometre Bisichi–Fan–Mangu Halle Road, describing the project as a strategic intervention to improve connectivity and drive economic development across the state.
The flag-off ceremony, held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Fan District, marked the commencement of the comprehensive reconstruction of the road, which links communities across Plateau’s three Senatorial Districts.
Governor Mutfwang explained that the road was originally awarded in December 2012 to Eighteen Engineering International Construction Company (EEC) as a surface-dressed road on a laterite base.

He said the completed road would reduce travel time, improve road safety and facilitate access to markets, healthcare facilities, schools and other essential services.
Mutfwang added that the project would complement other strategic road projects being executed by his administration, including the Foron–Bakin Kogi–Kadunu–Gindiri Road, thereby strengthening connectivity across Plateau State.
