The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has reportedly expressed satisfaction with the welfare services being provided to pilgrims from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), particularly in the area of feeding during the 2026 Hajj exercise.
This was disclosed during a meeting between the FCT Ministerial Hajj Team and officials overseeing the pilgrimage operations in Abuja.
According to officials at the meeting, reports from NAHCON indicated that the FCT is currently leading among Nigerian states in the provision of quality meals to pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking during the session, the leader of the FCT Ministerial Team and Chief of Staff to the Minister of State for the FCT, Dr. Abdullahi Isa Kauranmata, welcomed the positive assessment and urged officials to sustain the standard already achieved.
Also speaking, the Director of the FCT Pilgrims Welfare Board, Muhammad Kadiri Edah, said the board had successfully transported nearly all of its 1,546 pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
He further encouraged pilgrims to remain devoted to prayers and observe Islamic teachings throughout their stay in the holy land.
