Muhammad Na’im Sulaiman has been officially appointed and confirmed as the Yariman Itas III, succeeding his late father in one of the prominent traditional titles in the Itas Emirate, Bauchi State.
A direct descendant of the revered Malam Zaki, Na’im’s appointment marks the continuation of a longstanding family lineage associated with leadership, service and commitment to the development of the Itas community.
His confirmation has been welcomed as a significant milestone for the emirate, reflecting efforts to preserve traditional institutions while promoting community development, education, youth empowerment and innovation.
Over the years, Na’im has been recognised for his involvement in initiatives aimed at advancing human capital development, digital inclusion, entrepreneurship and community service. His contributions have focused on encouraging young people to embrace education, skills acquisition and civic engagement.
As a development advocate, he has supported programmes that promote peaceful coexistence and strengthen collaboration among traditional institutions, government agencies, civil society organisations and development partners to address community needs.
Yariman Itas vision is expected to expand opportunities for education, innovation and economic empowerment, particularly for young people. Equally sustainable development through investing in people and facilitating inclusive leadership.
