The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced registration for the third phase of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Employment Initiative in Adamawa State, targeting unemployed youths, women and persons with disabilities.
The Directorate’s Information Officer in the state, Rifkatu Hussaini Balami, disclosed this in Yola at the weekend. She said the programme is designed to tackle unemployment by equipping beneficiaries with marketable skills and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
According to Balami, participants will receive training in vocational skills, renewable energy, agriculture, entrepreneurship and other temporary employment opportunities under the initiative.
She said the online registration, which began on July 23, will end on July 29, 2026.
Balami urged interested applicants between the ages of 18 and 45 to register through the NDE registration portal at www.nderegistrationportal.ng or visit the NDE Adamawa State office opposite the former Ministry of Works and Housing in Jimeta, Yola, for assistance.
She recalled that the Directorate recently graduated 1,012 beneficiaries from the second phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative in the state. Of the number, 42 beneficiaries received starter packs in various vocational trades to enable them to establish their businesses.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Acting State Coordinator of the NDE in Adamawa, Hajiya Alisha Modu Fika, urged the beneficiaries to make productive use of the equipment provided to them.
She also encouraged them to serve as good ambassadors of the Directorate by transferring the knowledge and skills they acquired to other aspiring trainees, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of their communities.
