Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board Begins 2026 Pilgrims’ Airlift To Saudi Arabia Monday

The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board will on Monday 11th, May 2026 commence the airlifting of its first batch of 2026 Hajj pilgrims on board Flynas Airline, the official carrier assigned to the State.
This Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, in a statement, noted that Flynas Airline will operate a total of Six Flights throughout the exercise to airlift the 2,281 Intending Pilgrims from the State safely to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The statement which was circulated to newsmen by Public Relations Officer of the board, Jibrin Usman Kodo,said the inaugural flight, will have a capacity of airlifting 345 intending pilgrims, departing from Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna to Madina Airport.
It said the flight is anticipated to airlift part of the pilgrims from Borgu and Chanchaga Local Government Areas.
Aliyu urged all Intending Pilgrims to liaise with Area Pilgrims Welfare Officers (APWOS) for their flight schedules, strongly advising them to arrive the Hajj Camp by 7 a.m. so as to allow for early screening and preparations for their airlift.
The Executive Secretary assured of a hitch-free exercise while maintaining a prompt and timely passage of information of every development of the flight schedules.
Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu further advised the intending pilgrims to monitor and listen to regular announcements from Radio Stations and follow social media platforms of the Board for any adjustment in the flight schedules or any updates on the airlift exercise.
