It was an elegant night of allure, passion and elegance as Nigerian romance drama, “Love Lockdown”, premiered on Saturday at the Filmhouse Cinema, Lagos.
The event had in attendance the cast of the film as well as some Nollywood stars.
After a glamorous red carpet ceremony, the evening transitioned into a lively karaoke session.
The film, produced by award-winning Uche Okocha of Trino Motion Pictures, and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lyndsey Efejuku, will be released into cinemas on Feb. 7.
The riveting romance drama explores the complexities of love, loyalty, and the power of timing.
Love Lockdown follows the story of Yemi, a successful man on the verge of marriage, whose carefully crafted life is thrown into chaos when a COVID lockdown traps him with an old flame.
With his fiancée out of town, a chance encounter reignites unresolved emotions and forces Yemi to grapple with the meaning of commitment and the choices that define individuals.
Set against the backdrop of the global pandemic, this emotionally charged film explores themes of trust, compatibility, and the fragility of relationships.
The film features renowned actors, like Andrew Bunting, Detola Jones, Yewande Osamein among others.
Earlier, Okocha said: “I had to put Love Lockdown out there. It was based on an audio-play created by Anthony Deluola.
“We heard all the kissing and touching in the audio play and then we reached out to him, asked if we could make it a movie and he was excited about it.
“He was very kind enough to be part of the writing, so, he was also the writer of the project, he created these characters, he worked with some others.
“So, what you see on the screen is their beautiful minds coming together.
“We are very proud of the film, we are glad you all enjoyed it. It’s going to be in cinemas from next week, Feb. 7th, take a loved one, go see it, recommend it and have a great time, it’s the season of love.” (NAN)
