NLA Kano Ends Capacity Building Workshop, Certifies Participants

The Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Kano State chapter, in collaboration with the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), has successfully concluded its two-day Bi-Annual Capacity Building Workshop for Librarians at the E-Library of, Kano.
A statement signed by Jibril Ado Dandawaki,Acting. Director,
Public Relations, Media and Internal Affairs,said the workshop focused on the theme, “Social Media Analytics and Management in Library Services,” aimed at enhancing digital competencies among librarians.
Speaking during the closing session, the Chairman of the NLA Kano State Chapter and University Librarian of KHAIRUN, Nazir Muhammad, commended the facilitator, Mr. Shamsu Muhammad Sunusi of the Digital Bridge Institute, for delivering impactful and practical sessions throughout the training.
Sunusi noted that the workshop provided participants with valuable insights into the strategic application of social media in modern library services.
The Chairman also appreciated the National President of the Nigerian Library Association for his continuous support and commitment to the activities of the association.
He further acknowledged the Vice-Chancellor and Management of KHAIRUN for providing the necessary support and conducive environment that contributed to the success of the workshop.
Emphasizing the importance of knowledge dissemination, participants were encouraged to share the knowledge gained with colleagues in their various institutions to ensure wider impact and professional development across libraries.
He also appealed to members to remain committed to the association through regular payment of dues to sustain future professional programmes.
The workshop ended successfully with participants expressing satisfaction over the quality and relevance of the training.
The event reaffirmed the commitment of the NLA Kano State chapter to promoting continuous learning, digital transformation, and professional excellence in library services, the statement added.
