Palliatives: Senator Yari facilitates low prices of foods stuffs in Zamfara

The recently drops of prices of food stuffs in Zamfara State has been attributed to the distribution of palliatives by former Governor and Senator representing Zamfara West, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

Disclosing the development while receiving report a about the distribution exercise from the 14 local government area committees, the main committee Chairman of the exercise, hon. Lawal M. Liman, said the event was the most amazing due of its uniqueness towards making impact on the state economy.

Lawal explained that, the end result of the exercise was the lowering down of the cost of food stuff across the state which went a long way in cushioning the hardship being experienced by the common man, especially because of the soaring effect of the high cost of living.

Hon. M Liman further stated that, despite the hurdles encountered in the exercise particularly the security situation in the state, over 168, 000.00 households in 147 Wards of the 14 local government areas had received the palliatives.

The Chairman further thanked the devotion, passion, and tenacity of committee members, patience community members and the security agencies in ensuring the overall success of the exercise.

He confirmed that intended targets of the exercise were covered and as such almost all the people in the state had benefited either directly or otherwise and thanked Senator Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar for the gesture.

Recalled that, Senator Abdulaziz Yari has donated 152 trucks of assorted grains as palliatives to the people of the state as his intervention to improve their lives at the wake of fuel subsidy removal in the country.
