Plateau government distributes motorcycles, raincoats to Security agencies to fight insecurity

Plateau state governor Caleb Mutfwang has distributed 100 motorcycles, raincoats and rain boots to security agencies in the state to tackle insecurity even in hard to reach terrains.
Governor Mutfwang said the distribution is part of the state government’s efforts to enhance security and protect farmers in the state.
Mutfwang on Thursday in Jos, during the distribution disclosed that the motorcycles were specifically meant for round-the-clock surveillance in the bush and will enable security forces to access areas where vehicles cannot reach.
He emphasized that the motorcycles were not meant for use in towns and would be seized if found being used for any other
purpose.
Mutfwang noted that the state has made significant strides in identifying the hiding places and entry points of criminals in the state. He added that massive investments have been made in technology, which will be unveiled soon.
Mutfwang added that the motorcycles are expected to enhance the productivity of security agencies in the state, particularly in protecting farmers.
While appreciating the state government for the kind gesture
Alexander Barude, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on behalf of other security agencies promised that farmers will be adequately protected in their various farms.
The NSCDC chief added that the distribution of the motorcycles, raincoats and boots were significant step towards addressing the security challenges in Plateau State.
