Plateau NUJ presents relief materials to IDPs of Mangu attacks

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Plateau State Council has described as neatless and devastating the recurrent attacks on Some Communities in Mangu and other Parts of the state.

Chairman of the Council, Paul Jatau stated this when he led officials and some members to donate relief materials for unward distribution to Victims of recent attacks in Mangu local government area.

Presenting the relief materials, the Chairman, Paul Jatau explained that the Union shares in their pain stressing that the relief materials is to demonstrate their love, concern and brotherliness not only to the victims but the entire Mwaghavul nation.

Responding, the Mishkaham Mwaghavul, Da John Putmang Horse said his people least expected the unwarranted attacks because of the their peaceful and accommodative posture.

He however added that efforts must be intensify to ensure lasting peace in the area and the state at large.

While appreciating the NUJ, the traditional ruler noted that the gesture by the Union will alleviate the plight of the Victims.

National President, Mwaghavul Development Association, Joseph Gwangkat in a remark said what is happening in Mwaghavul land is not a religious crises but an attack on innocent citizens who had coexisted peaceful with their neighbors.

Prime Time News reports that Item donated include bags of assorted food items such maize,garri,beans, toiletries, Pads and clothing.
