Police Arrest Four for Burglary, Car Theft in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested four suspects in two separate incidents of store burglary and car theft.
Command spokesman SP Suleiman Nguroje said in a press release issued Wednesday that on January 22, 2025, police arrested two suspects, Musa Isah, 24, of Doubeli Chochi Street, and Abdullah Tanimu, 18, of Luggere Jimeta, for breaking into a shop owned by Tijay Zirah in Luggere around 3 a.m. The suspects stole valuables worth thousands of naira, all of which were recovered.
In a separate release, the command announced the arrest of two men for car theft: Yusuf Mohammed Isah, 25, of Wuro-Hausa, Yola South, and Faisal Mahmud, 30, of Kolere Ward, Mubi North.
The arrests followed an investigation launched on December 23, 2024, after Aliyu Umar of Wuro Hausa, Yola South, reported the theft of his Toyota RAV4 with registration number RSH 548 BB.
Following the directive of Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, a team of detectives led by Yola DPO SP Habib Muhammed Musa tracked down the suspects and recovered the stolen vehicle.
Both car theft suspects are in custody and assisting with the ongoing investigation, which is expected to lead to further recoveries.
The command assured the public of a thorough investigation, after which the suspects will be charged to court. The release emphasized the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property in the state.
