The staff of PRIME TIME NEWS, a leading media outlet in Kano State, gathered for a celebratory dinner to honor their esteemed CEO, Ibrahim Garba Shuaib, on his recent appointment as the Chief Press Secretary to the Kano State Deputy Governor, Comr. Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo.
The event, held on Saturday evening at S.Fari Beauty Palace, Nasarawa GRA, Kano, brought together prominent figures from the Nigerian media industry, Academia and close associates of Shuaib who shared fond memories and inspiring words about the accomplished journalist.
The dinner commenced with a warm remark by the Nigerian Union of Journalists Chairman, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, who praised Shuaib’s outstanding leadership and his unwavering dedication to promoting the values of transparency and accountability in the media.
He stated, “Ibrahim Garba Shuaib’s appointment is well-deserved and a testament to his exceptional skills and competence as a journalist. Throughout his career, he has consistently upheld the principles of fair reporting and has been a role model for many aspiring journalists. We are confident that he will excel in his new role and bring positive change to the Kano state government’s communication efforts.”
Following the NUJ Chairman’s remarks, the editor-in-chief of PRIME TIME NEWS, Mr. Abdullahi Yusuf, took the stage, expressed his pride in Garba’s appointment and lauded the CEO for his leadership and tireless efforts in elevating the organization.
“Ibrahim Garba Shuaib has been a driving force behind our organization’s growth and credibility. We are privileged to have him as our CEO and excited to witness his future accomplishments as Chief Press Secretary”Mr. Yusuf said.
A classmate and longtime friend of Ibrahim Garba Shuaib, Mr. Murtala Sale, also attended the dinner and shared personal anecdotes from their shared journey. He reminisced about their time in school and the determination that Mr. Shuaib had demonstrated in journalism even then.
“From the first day we met in school, it was clear that Ibrahim was destined for greatness. His passion for journalism and his unwavering dedication to the truth have always set him apart. I have no doubt that he will excel in his new role and make significant contributions to the government’s communication efforts” stated Mr. Sale.
Staff of PRIME TIME NEWS Hannatu Suleiman Abba and Haris Muhammad who praised their CEO on behalf of other members of the organization, commended Shuaib for his exceptional leadership skills and unwavering commitment to the field of journalism.
They acknowledged Shuaib’s accomplishments at PRIME TIME NEWS, recognizing his role in establishing the organization as one of the leading news outlets in Kano state.
In his response, Ibrahim Garba Shuaib expressed gratitude to his colleagues, friends, and family for their unwavering support throughout his career.
