PRNigeria, partners to host 2nd edition of ‘Arewa 30 under 30’ Award

A conglomeration of media firms, PRNigeria, Daily Nigerian, and Arewa Agenda have announced their readiness to host the 2nd edition of the annual “Arewa 30 Under 30 Award and Conference” in Kano State.

The grand award ceremony, scheduled for December 22, 2023, will be held at Tahir Guest Palace and will honor Northern impact makers among the youth for their outstanding achievements.

The event will also honor exceptional mentors, philanthropists, and organizations that support young people to make an impact in their respective societies.

During a press briefing at PRNigeria’s Kano office, the Centre’s Head of Graphics and Motion Designs, Salis Mohammed Manaja, disclosed that the event promises to be the biggest convergence of Northern impact makers, philanthropists, and mentors across the 19 Northern States of the Federation.

He went on to disclose that the Arewa Stars Award and Conference on “Convergence of Technology for Youth Enterprise” will recognize 30 young persons under 30 years who are making a significant impact in the fields of Media, Education, Politics, Social Media Influencing, Fashion & Design, Entertainment (Musician, Filmmaking, Videography) Fintech, Legal-Law, Event Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Other fields include Medicine (Public Health), Banking, Agriculture, Interior Decoration, Hotelier, Sports, Accounting, Architecture, Engineering, Actor/Actress, Art/Painting, Humanitarian/Philanthropy, Makeup/Beauty, Hand Craft (shoemaking, dyeing, bag, making), photography, Social Activism/work, ICT, and Real Estate.

Manaja assured that awardees will be branded “Arewa Stars” and will become the Centre’s Ambassadors for sustainable development from December 22, 2023, to December 2024.

Speaking on the success recorded by the Centre after its First Edition of the Grand Award, he disclosed that the event converged youths from all 19 Northern states in Kano state, created an avenue for networking between winners and professionals from the same and different fields, got recommendations and collaborations from relevant stakeholders, and offered mentorship programs to youths present at the event, among numerous other successes.

Salis assured that this year’s grand event will feature 30 under 30 awards, panel discussions, a Disruptive Tech Exhibit, Honorary Awards for Mentorship Philanthropy and Humanitarian Services, Organizational recognitions, Entertainment (Music, Filmmaking, Videography), Dinner Night, and a Grand Book Launch of the translated version of 101 fake news on EndSARS.

Manaja noted that nominations are now open until November 20, 2023, via www.arewaagenda.com. An applicant for the award can nominate himself, someone, a mentor, or an organization that deserves the honor and recognition.
