The Presidential Support Organisation (PSO), North-West Chapter, heartily commends His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his steadfast commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s national security architecture through institutional reforms, enhanced inter-agency cooperation, and intelligence-driven governance under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
We equally commend the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, CON, for his strategic leadership in coordinating security, intelligence, regulatory, and law enforcement institutions through the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA). This whole-of-government approach has significantly enhanced national efforts to combat money laundering, terrorism financing, illicit financial flows, banditry, kidnapping, illegal mining, cybercrime, corruption, and other forms of organised crime.
The PSO North-West Chapter also applauds the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), under the exemplary leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Hafsat Abubakar Bakari, for its unwavering commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), the Federal Ministry of Justice, and other strategic national and international partners.
These sustained engagements demonstrate that today’s security and financial crime challenges cannot be addressed by any single institution. Intelligence sharing, coordinated investigations, capacity building, and strategic institutional partnerships remain indispensable in preventing and disrupting criminal networks that threaten Nigeria’s security, economy, and international reputation.
We are particularly encouraged by Nigeria’s ongoing preparations for the 2027 Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Mutual Evaluation, being coordinated by the NFIU and the Federal Ministry of Justice. Following Nigeria’s successful exit from the FATF Grey List in 2025, this strategic exercise reflects the country’s determination to move beyond policy compliance by demonstrating tangible results in detecting illicit financial flows, dismantling criminal networks, prosecuting offenders, recovering proceeds of crime, and strengthening institutional effectiveness in line with international best practices.
The PSO North-West Chapter believes these collaborative initiatives reaffirm the Federal Government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, financial integrity, and national security. They also strengthen public confidence in Nigeria’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CFT) framework while reinforcing the nation’s position as a credible partner in the global fight against financial crimes.
As a foremost support platform for the Renewed Hope Agenda, the Presidential Support Organisation (PSO), North-West Chapter, expresses its unwavering confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the strategic coordination of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, CON, whose commitment continues to inspire stronger institutional cooperation in safeguarding Nigeria’s security and economic prosperity.
We therefore commend the leadership of the NFIU, ONSA, and all security, intelligence, regulatory, and anti-corruption agencies for their patriotism, professionalism, and shared resolve to build a safer, more secure, and economically resilient Nigeria. We encourage them to sustain this momentum in the collective national interest.
