The Presidential Support Organization (PSO), Northwest Chapter, has passed a vote of confidence on the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Mrs. Kemi Nandap, following a comprehensive review of her public service record and the recent clarification by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The PSO noted that its review found no publicly available evidence of misconduct or corruption involving the Comptroller-General, a position further reinforced by the EFCC’s official statement that she is not under investigation in the ongoing visa fraud probe.
The organization commended Mrs. Nandap’s leadership in advancing reforms within the Nigeria Immigration Service in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in strengthening border security, enhancing service delivery, promoting professionalism, and improving institutional accountability.
The PSO emphasized that while allegations against individual officers should be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted where necessary, such allegations must not be used to undermine the integrity of public officials who have not been implicated in any wrongdoing.
The organization reaffirmed its confidence in the leadership of the Comptroller-General and urged officers and personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service to remain committed to the ongoing reforms aimed at building a more transparent, efficient, and citizen-focused institution.
The PSO further called on Nigerians and the media to continue supporting the Federal Government’s institutional reform agenda by promoting responsible reporting, respecting due process, and relying on verified information from competent authorities.
