Rano LG Chairman Inaugurates Education Committee to Monitor Teachers, Improve School Standards

The Chairman of Rano Local Government Area, Hon. Malam Muhammad Naziru Ya’u, has today inaugurated a new Education Committee aimed at strengthening oversight in primary schools and improving educational standards across the local government.
Media Aide to the Chairman, Mamuda Ja’e disclosed to PRIME TIME NEWS that speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the Chairman said the committee would be responsible for monitoring the daily attendance of primary school teachers and identifying those who consistently fail to report to work.
He added that the committee would also assess the infrastructural needs of schools across the LGA and submit detailed reports for necessary renovations. In addition, the committee is mandated to engage relevant stakeholders in the education sector to foster collaboration and drive impactful reforms.
As part of its broader responsibilities, the committee will facilitate access to university admission opportunities for deserving students, with the goal of reducing youth idleness and enhancing moral development among young people in the area.
Members of the committee include Abdullahi Tijjani (Chairman), Dr. Kawu Sule will serve as the committee’s secretary while other members of the committee include Salisu Dalhatu, Shafiu Abdullahi Sabiu, Abubakar Muhammad Buba, Mukhatar Lawan, and Hamza A. Rurum.
The Chairman expressed confidence in the capacity of the appointees to deliver on their mandate.
He urged them to be non partisan in the discharge of their duties as well as exhibit diligence, transparency, and commitment to the development of education in Rano.
