The achievements unveiled at the Galaxy Backbone 20th Anniversary and Digital Transformation Summit in Abuja have once again demonstrated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is steadily transforming Nigeria’s governance architecture through innovation, efficiency, and institutional reforms.
One of the most remarkable outcomes of this vision is the ongoing digital transformation of the Federal Civil Service under the leadership of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, whose commitment to reform has accelerated Nigeria’s transition towards a modern and technology-driven public service.
The successful migration of all 38 Federal Ministries to a fully paperless workflow system is not merely a technological achievement; it is a fundamental restructuring of how government operates. This milestone represents a significant step toward transparency, accountability, faster service delivery, and prudent management of public resources.
As Nigerians, we must acknowledge the foresight of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing institutional reforms and creating an enabling environment for innovation to thrive within government. Equally deserving of commendation is the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, whose leadership has translated the President’s vision into measurable results that are already impacting the efficiency of governance.
For decades, the Civil Service has been associated with excessive paperwork, slow processing of files, and bureaucratic bottlenecks. Today, under the stewardship of Mrs. Walson-Jack and with the support of critical stakeholders, a new culture of efficiency and digital excellence is emerging across the Federal Civil Service.
The deployment of secure government communication platforms, the adoption of digital workflows, and the expansion of technology infrastructure through Galaxy Backbone are clear indicators that Nigeria is aligning itself with global best practices in public administration.
As a youth leader, I am particularly inspired by these reforms because they reflect the realities of the modern world. Young Nigerians are increasingly driven by technology, innovation, and creativity. A digital Civil Service not only improves governance but also creates a pathway for future generations to engage with public institutions that are efficient, transparent, and responsive.
I commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to reform, and I particularly celebrate the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, for her courage, vision, and dedication in driving one of the most ambitious modernization programmes in the history of Nigeria’s Civil Service.
I also acknowledge the contributions of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the leadership of Galaxy Backbone, and all stakeholders whose collaborative efforts continue to strengthen the foundations of effective governance.
The Renewed Hope Agenda is gradually moving beyond promises to practical achievements. The digital transformation of the Federal Civil Service stands as one of the strongest examples of what can be accomplished when visionary leadership is matched with competent implementation.
Nigeria is moving forward, and the results are becoming increasingly visible.
