Selena Gomez, the renowned American singer, has recently shared her profound appreciation for Nigerian music sensation, Rema, acknowledging that he has profoundly impacted her life.

Last year, Rema featured Gomez on the remix of his chart-topping hit, “Calm Down,” and their collaboration continues to dominate global music charts.

Taking to her verified Instagram account, Gomez expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Rema for selecting her to be part of one of the most significant songs in the world.

Alongside her message, Gomez posted two pictures of herself with Rema, captioning the post with these words: “This man has forever changed my life. Rema, thank you for choosing me to be part of one of the biggest songs in the world. I will love you forever. @heisrema.”

In response to Gomez’s post, the 23-year-old Rema conveyed his love for her in the comments section, referring to her as a queen: “Love you too, Queen.”

Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, is a multi-award-winning singer, songwriter, and rapper. Born on May 1, 2000, he catapulted to stardom with his release of the single “Dumebi” in 2019 and subsequently signed a record deal with a subsidiary of Mavin Records.

Internationally, Rema is best known for his 2022 smash hit single “Calm Down,” featuring Selena Gomez. The song peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and held the top spot on the U.S. afro beats songs chart for an unprecedented 41 weeks.
