The Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Science and Technology, Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, has felicitated with the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, on his 62nd birthday.
In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs, Ahmad Muhammad Danyaro, Senator Abbas joined members of the 10th Senate in celebrating Senator Akpabio, whose visionary leadership has continued to inspire admiration and recognition. From his tenure as Governor, Senate Minority Leader, Minister, and now President of the Senate and Chairman of the National Assembly, Akpabio has turned each role into a benchmark for social, economic, and infrastructural development.
“I believe he has many reasons to celebrate, given his immense political capacity and a network that spans across Nigeria’s political strata. He has remained steadfast, courageous, and undaunted in his pursuit of justice, equity, openness, and his unique style of leadership. It is no surprise he earned the title of ‘Uncommon Transformer,’ reflecting his exceptional leadership and achievements,” Abbas stated.
The Senator praised Akpabio for his inclusive leadership as Senate President, noting his ability to unify diverse interests regardless of political affiliation, gender, or ethnicity. “Like Noah’s Ark, he has managed to carry everyone along,” Senator Abbas remarked.
He concluded by praying for God Almighty to grant Senator Akpabio long life and good health to continue providing his “uncommon service” to the National Assembly and Nigeria at large.
