Senator Barau mourns Kano industrialist Nasiru Ahali
Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned Kano industrialist, Alhaji Nasiru Ahali, who died on Thursday night at the age of 108 in a hospital in Kano.
This was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, on Friday.
According to the statement, Senator Barau described the deceased as a patriotic Nigerian whose contributions to Kano’s industrial development remain immeasurable.
“Malam Nasiru Ahali played a pivotal role in the development and growth of businesses in Kano. As one of the pioneer industrialists in the state, he helped shape the formation of formal businesses through his company, Mainasara and Sons,” Senator Barau said.
He urged the bereaved family to find comfort in the deceased’s legacy of service, adding that he was a devout Muslim who dedicated his life and resources to worshipping Allah SWT and assisting humanity.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family of our late business icon. May Allah SWT grant him Jannatul Firdaus and give all those he left behind the strength to bear this loss,” he added.
