Former Governor of Plateau State and Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Simon Lalong warmly congratulated the President of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo, on his re-election for a second term in office.
Senator Lalong in a statement signed by his Special Adviser Media Makut Macham, described the re-election of Rev. Doctor. Mohzo as a clear endorsement of his visionary, compassionate and exemplary leadership which has continued to strengthen the spiritual growth, administrative consolidation, and missionary expansion of the Church both within and outside Nigeria.
He noted that under Rev. Mohzo’s stewardship, COCIN has remained a beacon of hope, peacebuilding, and a strong moral voice on issues of national concern, particularly at a time when unity and reconciliation are greatly needed.
The Senator commended the COCIN General Church Council for demonstrating maturity, prayerfulness, and unity throughout the electoral process, stressing that such harmony is a reflection of the Church’s deep-rooted values and commitment to the work of God.
According to Senator Lalong, described Dr. Mohzo as a humble, God-fearing, and dedicated servant of Christ whose leadership continues to inspire not only members of the COCIN family but the entire Christian community in Nigeria.
He prayed that God will grant the COCIN President renewed strength, wisdom, and divine grace to lead the Church to greater heights in evangelism, peace advocacy, humanitarian outreach, and nation-building.
Senator Lalong assured Rev. Mohzo of his continuous support and collaboration in advancing peace, unity, and development within Plateau State and beyond.
