Shafi’u Abdulmumini Takes Charge as NSCDC Kano State Commandant

The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has welcomed its new State Commandant, Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini. An indigene of Katsina State from Dayi in Malumfashi Local Government Area, Commandant Abdulmumini officially assumed his position today in a brief handover ceremony.

The ceremony, held at the NSCDC Kano Command headquarters, was attended by senior management staff and a representative of the NSCDC Zone 12 Zonal Commander. During the event, the outgoing State Commandant, Commandant Mohammed Lawal Falala, formally handed over the leadership mantle to his successor.

In his farewell remarks, Commandant Falala expressed gratitude to God for the success of his tenure and urged officers and personnel of the command to extend their full cooperation to the new leadership. He emphasized the importance of unity and dedication to advancing the Corps’ mission in Kano State.

Addressing the staff after assuming office, Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini called for the continued support and collaboration of the command’s personnel. He pledged to prioritize the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, as well as the safety of lives and property across Kano State.

“Kano is a second home to me,” the new State Commandant remarked, assuring that under his leadership, the Corps will vigorously pursue its mandate to enhance security and serve the people of Kano State effectively.

The statement was signed by SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of NSCDC Kano Command, on behalf of the State Commandant.
