The Story of Former National Chairman’s Defection To ADC Is A Fake News-Publicity Secretary

The Nasarawa State Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Chief Douglas Otaru has described the purported information going viral on the social media of the defection of former National Chairman’ of the party,Senator Abdullahi Adamu as fake news.
Otaru gave the hint during a telephone conversation with DAYLIGHT REPORTERS Online today 9th January,2026.
He opined that the information was cooked by non card carrying members especially opposition, Adding that Senator Adamu just registered (001) at his Rimi electoral wards of Keffi Local Government Council.
He however urged party members to remain resolute and calm with the ongoing e-registeration exercise.
The party described the reports as baseless propaganda deliberately aimed at misleading the public and causing confusion within the APC.
According to the statement, Senator Adamu, a former Governor of Nasarawa State, remains a committed and card-carrying member of the ruling APC.
