V-PeSDI Commends AMG Foundation for Ramadan Feeding Initiative

The Vulnerable People Support and Development Initiative (V-PeSDI) has praised the Aminu Magashi Garba (AMG) Foundation for its continued philanthropic efforts in Kano State, particularly in providing food assistance during Ramadan.
V-PeSDI Coordinator, Hannatu Suleiman Abba, made the commendation during a Ramadan feeding program at Kano Remand Home and the Vesico-Vaginal Fistula (VVF) Center, where loaves of bread were distributed for Iftar.
She emphasized that the initiative aims to ease the burden on vulnerable individuals who struggle to access food while observing the obligatory fast during the holy month.
She further noted that AMG Foundation has remained committed to humanitarian support and sustainable development in Kano and beyond “This year marks the fourth consecutive Ramadan feeding program, benefiting thousands of underprivileged people in the state” She said.
The Director of Operations at AMG Foundation, Malam Suleiman Jalo, highlighted the foundation’s ongoing support for V-PeSDI in various initiatives.
He explained that the foundation has consistently covered medical expenses for vulnerable individuals, provided wheelchairs to students with mobility challenges in higher institutions, sponsored the education of underprivileged children, and contributed to improving school hygiene by constructing and renovating toilets.
He also emphasized AMG Foundation’s role in empowering youth and women through various initiatives in collaboration with government agencies and other non-governmental organizations.
V-PeSDI extended its appreciation to other philanthropic organizations and individuals who contributed to Ramadan food distribution across Kano State. The organization called for continued support beyond Ramadan to combat hunger and improve the welfare of vulnerable communities across the country.
