The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the resumption of its Warri-Itakpe train service starting Monday (today).
This follows a brief suspension due to a derailment incident at Abraka railway station on 5th July.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by Yakub Mahmood, Deputy Director of Public Relations at NRC.
“We are pleased to inform the public, especially our valued passengers, that the Warri-Itakpe train service will resume operations on Monday, July 8, 2024, after a temporary suspension caused by a derailment,” Mahmood stated.
“Passengers are advised to book their tickets online from July 7 or in person at stations starting July 8.
“The NRC expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the disruption and assured travelers of restored services along the route.”
