We Will Widen Window Of Accessible Housing To All – Commissioner

Kano State Government says it is working assiduously on various packages to widen a window of accessibility to decent and affordable housing by the general public.
This is contained in a statement signed by Adamu Abdullahi,Director Public Enlightenment of the State Ministry for Housing Development.
Abdullahi said the State Commissioner for Housing Development, Arc. Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu,disclosed this at the Renewed Hope Housing PPP Summit 2.0 holding at Shehu Musa Yar’aduwa Conference Centre, Abuja.
Arc Yakubu Adamu said the State Government had targeted the result of positive realization in housing projects through a simplified access that will favour applicants.
He said the government resolved to simplify housing accessibility to the citizens through public private partnership (PPP).
He praised the commitment of the Federal Government towards the attaining welfare of its citizens, particularly in addressing the pathetic housing deficit across the nation.
The Commissioner while digesting the theme of the programme, “From Policy To Projects Financing and Delivering Housing at Scale Through PPPs,” said it coincided with what the state government is putting in Kano, adding that proposals from reputable development partners had been received and are receiving required attention.
“Proposals are received, and it will also soon be appraised towards realizing their proposed housing idea for the benefit of our people,” the Commissioner stated.
The Commissioner explained that the state government under the dynamic leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf gave approval for construction of 480 housing units for a starting tagged Gida -Gida Mega City at Rijiyar Gwan-Gwan, along Maiduguri Road, and it consists of all facilities that make a morden city.
