Zamfara collaborates with security agencies to revamp education

The Zamfara state government has announced preparations ro work closely with security personnel in it’s effort to restore the lost glory in education sector, the newly appointed Commissioner of education, science and technology, Malam Wadatau Madawaki has said.
Madawaki, who lamented that the education sector was found by the present administration in total dilapidation to the extent large number of schools were not operating due to reasons ranging from insecurity and obsolute dearth of both teaching and learning equipments, as well as conducive environment for the purpose.
Speaking in an interview in Gusau, Wadatau further revealed that education is in disarrayed, shameful in the state, maintaining that education has collapsed and is dire need of total overhaul before the state could abreast with others in that aspect.
“The present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal has made formidable arrangements aimed at ensuring hitch-free teaching and learning by establishing a strong working relationship with the security agencies across the state.
“We have put in place a well planned strategy that will enable us to start from the basic to build a strong Educational foundation for the people in the state from primary, secondary and tertiary, our administration would ensure provision of qualitative education in the state”.he assured.
According to him, the world is going digital to the level that application of technology is necessary, there is need for our teeming youths to be Self employed with skills acquisition, saying, “I believe and it’s our plan to train graduates to acquire skills acquisition for them to be Self employed for them to avoid waiting for white collar jobs”.
He said most of the criminal activities and bedeviling insecurity were perpetrated by uneducated youths with non formal Education, “I believe with the provision of sound education, the society would be more developed and free from unwanted criminal activities”.
