Zamfara condoles Nigerian Army, CPG over lost of 2 Soldiers, CPG Commander

The Zamfara State Government has condoled with the Nigerian Army and the State Command of the Community Protection Guard (CPG) over the lost of two gallant Soldiers and the CPG Commander of Zurmi local government area of the state during fierce encounter with bandits.
The condolence messages were extended by the State Deputy Governor, Malam Mani Mumini when he paid a condolence visit to Zurmi emirate to express worries by the State Government over the untimely demise of the gallant fighters while the state and nation are in dire need of their services.
Malam Mani who lamented the lost of the demised patriotic fighters, said the State Government and the good people of the state would never forget the immense sacrifice they had paid towards protection of innocent lives and their property.
“Our gallant Soldiers and the CPG Commander, late Aliyu Zurmi who paid a prize while in battle for the best interest of the State and the National security would remain a pride and honored in the records of the State Government’s history and the nation at large.
“We have lost the CPG Commander, Aliyu Zurmi as a result of his loyalty and complimentary service to the conventional security agencies in the fights against terror activities as assigned by the Governor Dauda Lawal-adminstration, may his gentle soul and the esteemed souls of our Soldiers rest in perfect peace”, Malam Mani has prayed..
He urged the general public in the state to be more patient as the menace is gradually subsiding drastically to the extent it currently takes up to several weeks without having any record of attacks across the state.
He added that, the late Aliyu Zurmi is among the hero’s that the state government is proud of, “I urge you to be more patient and continue with what we are doing, it’s sacrifice and Allah will reward you”. He added.
Deputy Governor, on behalf of the state government condoled the Zurmi Emirate and people of Zurmi Local Government over the incident and prayed Allah to Grant him jannatul firdaus.
Earlier, the state Commissioner on Special Duties, Alhaji Nasiru Ibrahim Zurmi, thanked the State Government for showing concern over the great lost, adding that, personnel of the CPG had assured continuity with the compliment for the for the efforts by the conventional security personnel in the fights against banditry.
He called on the State Government to initiate an avenue to immortalize those who lost their lives on duty, “The State Government should foster their names on streets for rememberance”.
“Although, we are aware, the State Government is doing everything possible for the CPG members that lost their lives, we have recorded 56 of them across the state”, he added.
